Dageno Launches Free Brand Explorer to Map AI Search Links to Brands, Products, Competitors, and Sources

Over the past month, approximately 97% of the 19,812 AI responses mentioning L’Oréal or entities within its portfolio that Dageno monitored referred only to brands such as La Roche-Posay and CeraVe, without naming L’Oréal directly. The figure reveals an overlooked reality: in AI search, companies and their brands are often treated separately, and a parent company does not automatically receive visibility.

Dageno, an AI search market intelligence and GEO/AEO platform, today launched Brand Explorer. Enter any company name, brand name, or domain to see how artificial intelligence connects that company to its brands, products, competitors, and information sources: which brands contribute visibility, which are mentioned but receive lower recommendation priority, how performance varies across AI platforms, and which competitors appear alongside it most often.

Also launching today is the free version of Brand Overview, which places any brand within its market for comparisons with peers across platforms and regions. Both features are free forever with registration. No credit card is required.

A Company, Through AI’s Eyes, Is a Network of Relationships

Most AI visibility tools track only the brand names and questions a team configures. Teams must identify and add their own brands, products, competitors, and alternative names. Anything they do not think to include remains out of view.

Brand Explorer reverses that approach. Starting with the AI responses Dageno collects daily, it automatically identifies every entity that appears, including companies, brands, products, merchandise, ads, media outlets, creators, social media accounts, and research reports, then connects them into a network of relationships. With no configuration required, users can start from any entity to explore:

  • Ownership: Which brands and products contribute to a company’s visibility, with direct mentions counted separately from mentions through entities in its portfolio.

  • Position: Visibility, first-mention rate, and average mention position, with the ability to drill down from the parent company to individual products.

  • Platforms and regions: Which AI platforms and markets show strong performance, and where the gaps are.

  • Competitors and sources: Which competitors appear alongside the company, and which media outlets, creators, and content shape how AI describes it.

Teams can ask directly: Which product generates the most AI visibility? Which product is mentioned consistently but appears further down the answer? Which media outlet or influencer is shaping AI’s assessment? Which ad actually appeared in an AI response? Together, these relationships shape how a brand appears in AI.

The L’Oréal Example: Approximately 97% of Related Responses Did Not Name the Parent Company

Of the 408,794 AI responses Dageno monitored over the past month, 19,812 mentioned L’Oréal or entities within its portfolio. Only 571 named L’Oréal directly. The remaining 19,241, approximately 97%, mentioned only its brands or products. Tracking the parent company’s name alone would miss the vast majority of related mentions in this sample.

Performance also varied substantially across platforms. L’Oréal’s visibility was 25.82% on Google AI Mode and 2.47% on ChatGPT, a difference of more than tenfold.

Airbnb, by contrast, showed a structure heavily concentrated around its main brand: approximately 86% of related responses during the same period named Airbnb directly. This illustrates why analysis must account for each company’s brand architecture instead of applying a single template.

All three plans include nine standard AI platforms: ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, Grok, Microsoft Copilot, Google AI Mode, Google AI Overview, Brave, and Dola. Coverage spans 86 countries and regions, with no additional charges per platform or region. Custom Amazon Alexa integration is available on request, along with custom pricing for requirements beyond standard plan limits.

Plan allowances are calculated as combinations of question × platform × region. For example, monitoring 20 questions across ChatGPT and Gemini in one region requires 40 monitoring combinations and fits within the Starter plan. As a pricing reference, Ahrefs’ AI Visibility Index for any brand starts at $199 per month; Peec AI Starter costs $95 per month; and a comparable OtterlyAI configuration totals approximately $248 per month. Features and billing methods differ across providers, so these figures serve only as cost references.

About Dageno

Dageno is an AI search market intelligence platform that organizes demand, brands, products, citations, and competitive relationships found in AI responses into market intelligence users can query, compare, and trace back to the original answers. It also provides foundational GEO/AEO capabilities, including prompt monitoring and source monitoring. Data Notes

The L’Oréal and Airbnb findings come from a one-month monitoring sample as of October 2026 and do not represent all AI searches. Direct mentions and mentions made only through entities within a company’s portfolio are counted separately. Mention shares for individual portfolio brands may overlap. A mention in an AI response does not necessarily indicate a recommendation, website traffic, or revenue. Competitor pricing is based on publicly listed monthly plans in U.S. dollars as of October 21, 2026.
